shapes, colors, textures - they all play a part in how the final product presents itself.
not always immediately but eventually.
creativity has its own language…and we can all learn it.

i like to think of touw as a collage.
macramé and fiber crafts have been playing through my hands since the seventies, and i still get excited by the possibilities of a nice piece of fabric or a skein of hand dyed and homespun wool.
assembling the pots, beads, glass, driftwood, and patterning the knots with different types of rope and cord are all inspiration for the final product. each completed piece is a mini gallery of curated objects made by nature, artisans, and craftspeople.
many materials selected for touw fiber crafts have a rich global heritage and have travelled far. consideration for the aesthetic of each individual piece is really fun. i like that the handwork presented in each of the touw products might find just the right spot in your home.
